Sonata For Sale
DEBKAfile Exclusive Analysis May 22, 2011, 8:05 PM (GMT+02:00

US President Barack Obama corrected the harsh impression Israel gained from his May 19 Middle East speech in one of the most pro-Israeli addresses ever delivered by an American president. He explained to the 11,000 delegates at the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee –AIPAC conference Sunday, May 22 that the final Israeli-Palestinian borders would differ from the 1967 lines because of the "mutually agreed swaps" he had also advocated.
Obama reverted to the guarantee President Bush gave Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in 2004 against a return to the indefensible 1967 boundaries, adding that demographic changes on the ground and the interests of both sides made it unrealistic and were bound to be changed in negotiations.
The US president thus addressed the cardinal objection raised insistently by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu when they met at the White House Friday, May 20, Sonata maximum dosage, although Netanyahu was accused by critics at home of overstating the case. Netanyahu responded by saying he is determined to work with Obama on finding ways to renew peace talks and voiced deep appreciation for his efforts and speech.
Obama was also influenced by the heated criticism he encountered in the American media, which not only ignored the principles he set forth in his wider Middle East vision, but accused him of pandering to the Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas to lure him back to the table after two years.
In a speech aimed at pleasing his solidly pro-Israeli audience, Obama offered another key concession by clarifying his early comment: Last Thursday, he said the future Palestinian state would share borders with Jordan, Egypt and Israel, but did not refer to the security provisions demanded by Israel, such as a military presence on the Jordan River border. Sunday, the US President explained that the IDF withdrawal from the territory which would be assigned to the Palestinian state in peace negotiations would be graded to match the guaranteed ability of the new state and its security forces to prevent terror, arms smuggling and infiltration, Sonata For Sale. Otherwise, Israel would stay on the West Bank, Sonata price.
debkafile's military sources stress this correction is vitally important because it comes close to Israel's on security perception.
Obama stood by his original definition of a non-militarized rather than a demilitarized Palestinian state in view of the armed force needed to fight terror. He stressed that both states must enjoy the right to self-defense. Sonata For Sale, He also repeated his earlier assertion that the status quo is unsustainable for three reasons:
1. The Palestinian population west of the Jordan River is increasing rapidly making it harder for Israel to remain a Jewish democratic state.
2. Technological advances will jeopardize Israel's presence on the West Bank. He was alluding to the pileup of long and short-range missiles in its enemies arsenals.
3. A new Arab generation is shaping the region. Therefore, Israel cannot rely on any peace treaty with one or more Arab rulers, Sonata For Sale. "The world is moving too fast and is too impatient," said Obama. Sonata used for, At the same time, he offered Israel some important commitments:
The US will maintain Israel's qualitative military edge and has an unbreakable commitment to Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. He vowed to prevent Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and oppose any effort to "chip away at Israel's legitimacy." The US opposed the Palestinian plan to ask the UNto recognize a unilaterally declared state.
Israel cannot be expected to negotiate with a party dedicated to its destruction, namely Hamas, he said. Hamas must release Gilead Shalit after holding him for five long years, he said. The US will stand up against any attempt to single out Israel at the UN or any international forum.

Israelis slam Obama's dangerous peace policies
Sunday, May 22, 2011 | Ryan Jones

Israeli officials on Sunday had harsh criticism for US President Barack Obama a day after he sided with Arab "peace" demands and strongly suggested that Israel is the obstacle to peace in the region. Sonata For Sale, In a televised foreign policy speech last Thursday, Obama stated that "the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines," and insisted that "the Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves and reach their full potential."
A day later, Obama met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. During their joint press conference following the meeting, Netanyahu flat-out rejected Obama's premise that peace must be based on the 1967 borders, buy no prescription Sonata online.
"While Israel is prepared to make generous compromises for peace, it cannot go back to the 1967 lines because these lines are indefensible because they don’t take into account certain changes that have taken place on the ground," explained Netanyahu.
Netanyahu went on to note that "before 1967, Israel was all of nine miles wide. ...And these were not the boundaries of peace; they were the boundaries of repeated wars, because the attack on Israel was so attractive."
The Israeli leader warned that basing a future peace deal on the 1967 borders, as the Arabs insist, will result in "a peace based on illusions will eventually crash on the rocks of Middle Eastern reality."
Writing for the leftist Israeli newspaper Ha'aretz, Where can i find Sonata online, top political analyst Ari Shavit said that Obama's speech was good for Israel in that it opposed Palestinian efforts to unilaterally secure independence, slammed Mahmoud Abbas' unity deal with Hamas, and recognized Israel as the Jewish state, and called on the Palestinians to do the same.
But, Shavit said, Obama erred critically in his insistence on the 1967 borders, Sonata For Sale.
"Instead of presenting the 1967 borders as the end of the process, Obama made them its start. Instead of tying them to the end of demands and the end of the conflict, they were tied to greater demands and continued conflict," wrote Shavit.
He continued:
"Without intending any harm, Obama presented Israel with a suicidal proposition: an interim agreement based on the 1967 borders, Sonata over the counter. It's a proposal that runs along the same lines as the Hamas offer of a hudna - a long-term cease-fire."
Shavit warned that by setting the 1967 borders as the starting point for final status negotiations, Obama had allowed the Palestinians to make the "right" of millions of so-called "Palestinian refugees" to flood Israel the focal point of continued negotiations. Sonata For Sale, Israelis from across the political spectrum reject the Palestinian effort to demographically destroy the Jewish state by bringing in those millions of foreign-born Arabs. If the Palestinian "right of return" becomes the primary topic of discussion, there is little to no hope of concluding a peace deal.
Right-wing Israeli lawmaker Yaakov Katz (National Union) was less forgiving, cautioning in a letter to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC):
"Don't fall for Obama's magical oratory. He put a gun to Israel's head and asked it to commit suicide."
According to some reports, Netanyahu recognized the danger of Obama's words, and the two leaders had a tense discussion during their White House meeting. Sonata interactions, Netanyahu dismissed reports of increased tension between himself and Obama, insisting that their disagreements on certain details of the peace process are "differences of opinion...among friends."
But many believe the writing is on the wall, and Obama will soon push Israel into a dangerous peace deal. His clear suggestion that Israel's repeated stalling, rather than Palestinian peace infractions, is the main reason for a lack of peace today is telling, Sonata For Sale.
"The international community is tired of an endless process that never produces an outcome," said Obama in his Thursday foreign policy speech. "The dream of a Jewish and democratic state cannot be fulfilled with permanent occupation."
In his remarks following the White House summit, Obama said the current political changes across the Arab world offers an opportunity for his vision of peace to be realized.
"There is a moment of opportunity that can be seized as a consequence of the Arab Spring," said Obama.
In an interview last month with Israel Today, Israeli political analyst Yoram Ettinger said the opposite is in fact true, herbal Sonata. Sonata For Sale, The reality, said Ettiger, is that the "Arab Spring" demonstrates just how fragile the Arab world is, and how foolish it would be to trust Israel's security to a Palestinian regime that could be swept aside in a moment.
Obama's reiteration that without a state the Palestinians cannot reach their true potential and must live in humiliation also ignored realities on the ground.
In the upcoming issue of Israel Today, average Palestinians told us that they don't want an independent state ruled by Abbas and his thugs, and that they already live in peace and prosperity with the Jews around them.
He was, he told 10,000 attentive delegates at AIPAC’s annual policy conference in Washington on Sunday morning, a “real friend” of Israel, with the track record to prove it. Generic Sonata, RELATED:

Left says Netanyahu should apologize to Obama
Precisely because he and his administration “understand the challenges Israel faces,” he had made military cooperation a priority, ensured Israel received America’s most advanced technologies, and boosted financing for the Iron Dome missile defense system. Precisely because of his concern for Israel’s security, he had imposed the toughest ever sanctions to try to thwart Iran’s nuclear program, shown “unshakeable opposition” to attempts to chip away at Israel’s legitimacy, stood up for Israel against the Goldstone Report and made plain that the planned Palestinian unilateral UN route to statehood was unacceptable, Sonata For Sale.
In his Middle East speech last Thursday, the president went on, the crowd warming to him by the sentence, he had spoken about Israel as a true friend had to speak – pushing for a return to direct Israeli-Palestinian negotiations, “because we cannot afford to wait another decade, or another two decades, or another three decades, Sonata forum, to achieve peace. The world is moving too fast. The extraordinary challenges facing Israel would only grow. Delay will undermine Israel’s security and the peace that the Israeli people deserve.”
And in order to woo the Palestinians, the Arab states and the international community – “for us to have leverage” as the president put it – “the basis for negotiations has to hold out the prospect of success.”
That was why, he explained, he had specified that “the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps.” Mutually agreed, he repeated. Sonata For Sale, Nothing was going to be imposed on Israel and, by definition, the notion of agreed swaps meant that Israel would not have to return to its vulnerable pre-’67 lines.
And yet his positions, Sonata canada, mexico, india, he protested, had been misreported. He had been “misrepresented several times.”
“If there’s a controversy, then, it’s not based in substance,” he argued in his speech’s most defensive sentence. “What I did on Thursday was to say publicly what has long been acknowledged privately.”
Now he was here to set the record straight. Bolstered by a formulation that had echoes of president George W. Bush’s correspondence with prime minister Ariel Sharon in 2004, which Israel has wanted to believe constituted American endorsement of Israeli retention of major settlement blocs, this was the president publicly putting himself shoulder-to-shoulder with Israel, Sonata For Sale. This was Israel’s key ally, helping Israel act in its own best interest, and gradually working to alleviate international, Sonata pictures, Arab and Palestinian frustration, hostility and intractability.
Along with that vague but Jerusalem-pleasing reference to “the new demographic realities on the ground,” Obama went helpfully further in several other key areas on Sunday than he had last Thursday at the State Department or last Friday with Binyamin Netanyahu by his side.
He all but ruled out negotiations with the Palestinian leadership so long as it included an unreformed Hamas. And, movingly, he recalled his visit to Jerusalem three years ago: “When I touched my hand against the Western Wall and placed my prayer between its ancient stones, I thought of all the centuries that the children of Israel had longed to return to their ancient homeland.”
Here were words that were so unfortunately left unsaid in Cairo two years ago and again last week, Doses Sonata work, words that showed the president upholding the historic Jewish connection to the disputed sliver of sovereign, modern Israel. Sonata For Sale, The AIPAC crowd was strikingly appreciative, especially in light of the furious Netanyahu reaction to aspects of Thursday’s address. They gave him healthy applause from the start, stood at key points, cheered him loudly at the end. In a room of thousands, I heard only a single, brief “boo” when he said, “The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps.”
As he left the hall, ahead of Netanyahu’s speech to this same audience on Monday, the president could afford to feel comfortable with a job well done, Sonata gel, ointment, cream, pill, spray, continuous-release, extended-release. He has certainly made it hard for the prime minister, now, to assert that this administration is trying to coerce Israel into a withdrawal to “indefensible” lines.
And yet Obama’s evident sense of grievance will not seem entirely justified to many Israelis, and his address here on Sunday, though it included several more helpful formulations, will not have alleviated all causes for Israeli concern.
His speech included what many Israelis will regard as a problematic formulation that “there is a reason why the Palestinians are pursuing their interests at the United Nations, Sonata For Sale. They recognize that there is an impatience with the peace process – or the absence of one. Not just in the Arab world, Sonata from canada, but in Latin America, in Europe, and in Asia. That impatience is growing, and is already manifesting itself in capitals around the world.”
Well, many Israelis will say in response to that presidential observation, the Palestinians are pursuing their interests at the UN General Assembly because, in that skewed forum, they will not be required to condition their bid for statehood on reconciliation with Israel.
And it is incumbent on the US to impress on the Palestinians the imperative for viable reconciliation, including on the critical refugee issue, purchase Sonata online, where he has been dismayingly vague. Sonata For Sale, Obama’s speech lacked, as last Thursday’s speech lacked and Friday’s comments alongside Netanyahu lacked, a specific rejection of the notion of a “right of return” for Palestinian refugees. Yes, he told this pro-Israel audience that Israel is the Jewish homeland. But even here, he could not bring himself to unequivocally declare that the Palestinian refugee problem must be resolved independently of Israel. Why not. Because he fears it will alienate the Palestinians. Or because he doesn’t actually believe the Palestinian refugee problem must be resolved independently of Israel, Sonata For Sale.
The first explanation is more charitable, of course. Where can i buy Sonata online, But if he fears that to make the clear-cut statement is to lose that “leverage” that will draw the Palestinians back to the peace table, then the approach will strike many Israelis and their supporters as wrong-headed. Telling Israel clearly what mutually agreed territory it will have to give up, while not telling the Palestinians clearly what maximalist positions they will have to compromise, is a recipe for deadlock, not progress.
What will have rung most implausibly to Netanyahu, however, were the president’s repeated assertions of friendly candor, his insistence that telling Israel necessary truths is what good friends have to do, and that he is emphatically one such unshakeable, purchase Sonata, dependable friend. Sonata For Sale, For this narrative does not sit easily with the emerging accounts of the frictions that preceded last Thursday’s landmark presidential address. We have been hearing about altered drafts, an early sense that the speech would not include a reference to the 1967 lines, subsequent changes, and a heated eleventh-hour exchange between Netanyahu and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during which Jerusalem pleaded in vain for key phrases to be excised. And then we heard the furious Netanyahu respond to the speech on Thursday night as he prepared to fly out here, and saw him, in a very public divergence of minds, lecturing the president and a watching world on Friday. Sonata no rx, One wonders why the prime minister did not speak personally to the president about every last comma in the Israel-Palestine section of that speech, ahead of time. One wonders if they tried to talk this through, one-on-one on a secure line.
The destiny of Israeli-Palestinian relations is quite evidently a central presidential priority, and it’s the prime minister’s daily obsession, Sonata For Sale. Isn’t talking openly to each other, before they go public, the kind of thing that real friends do.

Wake up to the deceptive "words"
Author: Steve Country: US 05/22/2011 23:05
More "words" and back tracking. Why would one day Obama say Israel's borders will be those of pre 1967, and a couple days later he says to a group of influential potential Jewish voters and "donors" that he didn't mean it. He is the President of the US and every word is carefully scripted, buy Sonata online cod. Sonata For Sale, If he is reelected the real truth will be evident and the Jewish people will then learn the hard way. Remember also the other AIPAC speech several years ago when he said Jerusalem will remain as the eternal capital of Israel and the Jewish people. Then the next day he back tracked on that as well. These deceptive political games continue and we must be very vigilant, and not fooled. Where are his calls against the terrorism, and the actual use of that "word". 1. 2008 Redux
Author: RWG Country: USA 05/22/2011 23:05
Obama's 2011 AIPAC appearance has all the sincerity and binding force of his 2008 statement that Jerusalem is and should remain the Israel's undivided capital. He is/always has been sympathetic to the Palestinians and he will push it as far as he can without endangering his Jewish donor base. What is Sonata, Sadly, most American Jews want to believe that Obama is a friend of Israel and will gloss over any facts to the contrary. Sonata For Sale, Horvitz is right - friends don't undermine friends in public, and that's what Obama did Thursday, figuring Netanyahu would have to go along to get along. Which, luckily, he didn't.
The Great Divider Strikes Again
While the very liberal Steny Hoyer gave a speech that any Zionist would have loved, and had all 10,000 of the AIPAC audience on their feet, that unity for the sake of Israel that is fostered by AIPAC to cross all political lines was torn asunder by the Great Divider. The Far Left is quick to follow in his footsteps, and make the most of their opportunity to politicize the tension he continues to creates (left/right AND Arab/Jew). This, Sonata without a prescription, of course, stresses out 'the few, the proud,' the minority... of conservative Jews. And things roll downhill from there, Sonata For Sale.
Yid with Lid writes that "It's time for American Jews to stop voting for people who hate them," another way of saying "You might want to consider joining the team you're on."
There's apparently an ugly business going on amongst our leftist brethren; the "dual loyalty" pot is being stirred as we begin to hear it implied that should you dare to criticize Obama's treatment of Israel you must be "too Jewish" to be wholeheartedly American. You must be, in the term used by MJ Rosenberg, After Sonata, an "Israel-firster." (This, as per Yid with Lid at the link; personally, I don't read MJ anymore. Ew.)
We're all too familiar with the trap in the pejorative accusation that "anyone who criticizes Israel is deemed antisemitic." Of course that's a lie, but if we were willing, we could use to our advantage a different version of the same trap: We could start repeating - ad nauseum - that "anyone who criticizes Obama on Israel is being unfairly accused of dual loyalty, putting Israel's interests ahead of American interests," yadda yadda yadda.
Watch, though, this won't happen, Sonata reviews, because while the Left is playing games with words in order to woo public opinion in their direction, conservatives are toying with ideas, trying to win the argument. Only there is Sonata For Sale, no argument (except for those among ourselves). It's a kind of stalemate, where the Left will not argue ideas with us (because they can't) and we don't play their games (because we won't). So nothing gives on either side. They just rack up points while we admire -or decry- one another's reasoning. This is what it means when "never the twain shall meet." (Note the timely relevance of Kipling's original lament.)
Now as often happens when writing without a plan, off the top of my head like this, Sonata alternatives, I end up dead-ending a post before I've said what I started to say in the first place. Actually, all I meant to do here was to give my friend at Yid with Lid credit for this clever bit:
During the George H.W, Sonata For Sale. Bush administration, Secretary of State James Baker was asked about the Jewish vote, he exclaimed "F**K the Jews, they won't vote for us anyway." Today the progressives believe "F**K the Jews, they will vote for us whatever we do."
Looks to me like both are true / We'll have to wait and see.

Likud MKs: Obama Zigzagging

Although the approval was granted at the end of April, it was first publicized in the last few days – including by Peace Now on Sunday – as part of an overall report on settlement activity.

News of the Betar Illit units came as Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon traveled to another settlement bloc, Ma’aleh Adumim, and called for more building there, particularly in an area known as E-1.
“It’s clear what the significance is of Ma’aleh Adumim – first of all to Jerusalem – and to all of Israel, online Sonata without a prescription. The future of Ma’aleh Adumim is the same as that of Jerusalem and the State of Israel,” said Ayalon. Sonata For Sale, According to the Peace Now report, the Defense Ministry had also approved the construction for a home for the elderly, and a commercial center, in the Efrat settlement, also located in the Gush Etzion bloc.
These approvals follow on the heels of authorizations for new construction in March of at least 390 housing units in West Bank settlements.
According to Peace Now, that 390 included: 200 in Modi'in Illit, 100 in Ariel, 40 in Ma’aleh Adumim and 50 in Kfar Eldad.
The approvals are part of a number of steps that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has taken to advance West Bank construction since the 10-moratorium on new-settlement building in September 2010, Peace Now said. Sonata for sale, It includes depositing plans both for a religious seminary south of Efrat in January, and plans for 86 housing units in the Kiryat Netafim settlement in the Samaria region. Out of those 86 units, 75 have already been built, Sonata For Sale. Once the plans are approved, the 75 homes would be legalized.
The moves to allow for continued settlement building come as Palestinians continue to insist that Israel must halt Jewish building in east Jerusalem and the West Bank, as a precondition for renewed negotiations.
Netanyahu has refused to cede to that demand.
On Monday in the Knesset, he clarified that Israel assumes that in peace with the Palestinians, “We agree that we have to keep the settlement blocs.”
Obama has since spoken of a peace deal based on the pre- 1967 line, with land swaps, Sonata cost. Sonata For Sale, It is believed that he means land within the settlement blocs, although he has yet to clarify this statement.
None of this, however, has helped settlements within the blocs, such as Efrat or Ma’aleh Adumim.
Efrat Council head Oded Revivi has not received building permits for the last decade. The two he received last week – for a senior and commercial center – were just a drop in the ocean compared to what he needs, he said.
Revivi added, however, My Sonata experience, that he hoped in light of Netanyahu’s comments about settlement blocs, that building permits would be forthcoming.
Mayor Benny Kashriel, whose West Bank city is located just east of Jerusalem, has also lobbied unsuccessfully for building permits, Sonata For Sale.
Although a long-time member of the Likud central committee, he has not been helped by Netanyahu, who is the head of the Likud party.
His city is out of building permits, and the 40 he received pale in comparison to the authorization given to Modi'in Illit and Betar Illit.
At issue for Kashriel is the fact that the most likely place for his city to expand is E-1, an unbuilt area of the city. Successive prime ministers, including Netanyahu, Sonata wiki, have promised Kashriel that he would be able to build there, but have never made good on that pledge. Sonata For Sale, Palestinians have contested such construction, and have argued that it would destroy the contiguity of their future state. The United States has also pressured Israel not to build there.
On Sunday, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon (Israel Beiteinu) traveled to E-1, and called on the government to authorize construction there.
“We have to build in E-1. It is part and parcel of Ma’aleh Adumim. cannot survive without E-1, so there is no doubt that E-1 should be built and that building there – in no way or shape – contradicts any negotiations or a long-term agreement with the Palestinians,” he said, Sonata For Sale.
Addressing the speech on the Middle East that US President Barack Obama gave last Thursday in which he said that Israel and the Palestinians should negotiate borders first, Sonata use, Ayalon said that such an approach was a mistake.
“The conflict with the Palestinians is not a territorial conflict – it goes much deeper unfortunately. We do not see yet Palestinian leadership that accepts our inherent right to be here,” Ayalon said.
He added that it was the Palestinians’ refusal to accept that Israel was a Jewish State that stands at the heart of the conflict. Sonata For Sale, As a result, Ayalon said, negotiations should start with the issue of refugees and security arrangements.
“If we look objectively into the situation, we believe that right now you do not have the basic elements that can bring about a permanent settlement,” he said. “So in the absence of reaching for the perfect, you should reach for the possible: a long-term interim agreement.”
On Monday, activists plan to head to E-1 to build an outpost there, buy Sonata no prescription.

Who is Behind It All?
Who is really behind the surge on Israel, who decided to threaten another on May 20 and changed their mind. and the Arab Spring?
Guess what, Sonata For Sale. Arabs have apparently not surged into Israel Friday as threatened or as called for. Earlier this week, I had reported, on threats by Syrian and Palestinian Arabs to “rush the Israeli borders” after Friday prayers.
If this is true, then it is a repeat of what happened in the years preceding the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Cheap Sonata, Again and again, Egyptian and Syrian troops were massed in preparation for an attack but then recalled. Sonata For Sale, When finally, in October of 1973, they massed for real as an invading army, Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir was not only given disinformation but a wrongful interpretation of the true state of affairs.
Defense Minister Moshe Dayan and General Eli Zeira, director of military intelligence, hid the true facts from Golda, and IDF Chief of Staff David “Dado” Elazar, who had been frantically trying to get her attention, was outnumbered and outvoted by this small elect clique. After the surprise attack began and Arab troops poured into Israel, Elazar turned a potential tragedy into a victory within three weeks. However, Israel suffered thousands of casualties.
Ultimately, Dayan and Zeira blamed their own mistakes and misdeeds on Elazar, who was innocent and a hero. “Dado” resigned his position after he was blamed for the intelligence failure by the Agranat Commission, Sonata For Sale. Less than three years later, he died of a heart attack. It is said that the shame of the wrongful accusation and the villainy of his colleagues had broken his heart.
Elazar’s son Yair ultimately directed a documentary, “Missing Father,” which begins with the filmmaker’s anger at his father for his supposed failure in the lead-up to the Yom Kippur War. By the end of the film, however, his son comes to understand that his father’s service was a gift to Israel, although his father paid a personal price for being able to live in a secure Israeli state.
Back to today.
We have quickly learned that Facebook cannot necessarily create a revolution or an invasion. We have also learned that perhaps cannier heads prevailed and decided not to invade Israel at the very moment that Prime Minister Netanyahu was in Washington, D.C. One wonders whether the so-called “Arab Spring” was truly organized by Facebook or whether organized Islamist forces seized upon the Facebook chatter as a way of launching a reactionary revolution
